I have seen so many women over the years struggle to look like what they thought society demanded of them; and that image continually morphs, which makes attaining it impossible.
We are all built a little differently; and no matter how much exercise you do, it will never make you taller, shorter or change your skeletal structure. Giving our body everything it needs to be healthy and happy, to give it proper fuel and make it strong; that’s beautiful! I know many women who have come through our Kix program, they have lost weight and gained muscle, they still may not look like what they thought they would, but they are healthy, strong and beautiful and they FEEL amazing. We need to look inwards, take care of ourselves, mentally, physically and spiritually, celebrate our bodies, they are all incredible!
If I can give any advice here, it’s be kind to yourself. We are inundated with images every day that we can chase but never attain. “Those most likely to report being dissatisfied with how their bodies look include women (83% vs. 74% of men).” That is a very high number. Exercise because you enjoy being active and want to stay healthy, and love yourself there.
