You Can’t Compete With What You Eat!
I would like to address something that I have heard countless times over the last few decades.
“I have been working out really hard and I haven’t lost any weight, why?”
There are a number of things to consider here.
First; it typically takes up to 6 weeks of healthy eating and exercise to see any results.
Second; You Can’t Compete With What You Eat! ‘A cheeseburger and fries are approximately 900 calories, to burn that off would take 243 minutes of walking, 87 minutes of running or 125 minutes of cycling. That little chocolate chip cookie is around 150 calories, 40 minutes of walking and 14 minutes of running.’
The trick to keeping a healthy diet, I believe, is moderation. Have that cookie if you want, or that burger or piece of cake; occasionally, but try to make the staple of your diet vegetables, lean protein and fruit. Find something physical you actually enjoy doing, so it’s something you can look forward to instead of something you HAVE to do. Living a healthy life doesn’t have to be hard, but it does take practice.
